Drawing Closer Afterword

Afterword - Hikari Translation

Yomei Ichinen HikariTL

Nice to meet you. Nice to meet you, long time no see. I'm Yuki Hino.

This time, I will publish the third book from Starts Publishing.

My previous work, Sayonara no Tsuki ga Kimi wo Tsuresaru Mae ni, was published pada November 2019, so this is the first new book in a year and eight months. It's been a long time so far..

Well, since this is a long-awaited afterword, I wanted to put aside my irrelevant feelings and talk a little about the job. It only contains a few spoilers, so please be careful if you haven't read the main story.

This work tells the story of the meeting and separation between Mizuki, a boy who is clumsy in socializing, and Misaki, a girl who has many secrets.

Of all the characters I wrote, Mizuki and Misaki were probably the most difficult characters to write. I keep worrying about how to write Mizuki and Misaki so that they become interesting characters, especially during revisions.

However, just because it was difficult to write, the two became very emotional characters.

I would love it if I could properly convey to readers the trajectory that Mizuki and Misaki traverse hand in hand, sometimes laughing, and sometimes worrying.

Finally, I want to say thank you.

Many thanks to Mitsui-san, the editor in charge, Haneko-sensei, who drew the cover illustration, and everyone involved in publishing this work. Thanks to everyone who brought this work together, we were able to finish the story safely.

And I want to say a big thank you to all readers who have read this work. Thank you so much for staying with us until the end. I am very happy that everyone has read this work.

I hope we can meet again somewhere.

July 2020 Yuki Hino
